Description

THE GENE PRICE COUNTRY EXPRESS -- Sept. 1974 Show -- hard to find, original 1974 U.S. double-LP set, DJ Promo only.  This is one in a series of radio show LP's commissioned by the U.S. Army and featuring songs by country and country-rock stars of the day including Elvis Presley's "Help Me," alongside tracks by Marty Robbins, Billy Crash Craddock, Mickey Gilley and others.  As with almost all Elvis-related radio discs, this is extremely hard to find -- these were only distributed to radio stations and were never sold commercially in stores; most were destroyed or discarded after the program's airdate in September of 1974.  Gatefold cover:  VG++, light ring wear and light wear at corners; several small ink mark on inside of gatefold.  Records:  VG+++, several small ink marks on labels, vinyl itself is Near Mint-; on Gene Price Country Express private label, U.S. press.
