SANTA CLAUS IS BACK IN TOWN - GREEN LABEL DEMO (RCA 1020)
Collectors are well aware of how rare and collectable these items are - something which is reflected in their value. Very few were made and, at the time, the general public had no knowledge of their existence - which makes them genuinely rare.
This single-sided, TRI-centred demo, manufactured by Decca Record Company on behalf of RCA in the UK in 1957, was the other side of 'Santa Bring My baby Back (to me)', Elvis' third single (RCA 1020), released on the RCA label in the UK. This demo is almost 60 years old.
This particular copy is in very good condition overall (I would say the vinyl is actually (Ex-) but, as you can see, there is a minor smudge on the label (probably where a sticker has been). It also has the time code hand-written on but this was done at Decca before the demos were distributed. The catalogue number (RCA 1025) was rubber-stamped on.
