Description
Recently purchased another jukebox to restore. Came with 700 records. Mostly big band and Vocal groups, but had about 70 good rock and roll records in a dozen storage binders. Most are in excellent condition, with only a few showing signs of moderate play. I'm not a record collector, so will be selling these off to pay for the jukeboxes restoration. Will try to get as many into auction as possible so shipping can be combined should someone buy multiple records. Shipping costs just the same whether I ship one or four records. I will do my best to pack these fragile 78's very carefully. On the more expensive records, basically anything over $40, Will add extra cardboard and packing. I've found that shipping up to 70 lbs. in a Priority box big enough to hold these records safely and allow for extra packing around them, will run about $15. I have changed my shipping expense to reflect that. This flat rate is for the U.S. only. All records are played once on my restored jukebox mechanism with a light tone arm conversion. If any background noise or pops are heard, they will be mentioned. My Cool Victor Neon sign is from the 30's but not for sale. This auction is for just one record....... B/S- "PLAYING FOR KEEPS" Plays very well. Put this as Rockabilly and Rock and Roll. Next batch of records I list will be on the SPECIALTY Label. On a side note, this is Elvis's lost hit. Only came in at #2 on the charts, so has been pretty much forgotten. Though it sounds like all the other Elvis hit songs, it was the only song that was "spliced together" from two different takes. Time was cut short at the Recording Studio do to Elvis having to get back to shooting on the Movie set of "Love Me Tender", so they opted to piece together the best takes. Also has a guitar Solo by Scotty Moore who had basically just winged it through the solo as he wasn't prepared for it. They kept it. Thanks, Frank
