Here we have a rare Rock & Roll classic,the 1956 7'' single by Elvis Presley,'Blue Moon'.It was released on the highly collectable HMV record label and the catalogue no.is POP 272.The B side is 'I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine'.This record is the rare 1st pressing with gold lettering on a purple label and the matrix number on each side is 1N.The record comes without its original 'removable/replaceable' centre.
The record has been assessed as being in VG condition.Both sides play well with occasional light surface noise which,however,is barely audible.There is no distortion,no jumps or skips and the overall sound is clear and sharp.
IN MINT CONDITION THIS ITEM IS VALUED BY RECORD COLLECTOR AT £200 - IN VIEW OF ITS VG CONDITION WE HAVE A MUCH LOWER STARTING POINT AND NO RESERVE - THIS IS PERHAPS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ELVIS FANS TO FILL AN IMPORTANT HOLE IN THEIR COLLECTION !
