Description

ORIGINAL 1956 ELVIS’ FIRST ALBUM ON HMV LABEL - FIRST ISSUE OF THIS ICONIC ALBUM WITH HMV LOGO PRINTED AT CENTRE ON REVERSE OF SLEEVE, NOT TO THE LEFT SIDE AS ON LATER ISSUES.

Sleeve G+/VG- creasing/handling plenty of edge wear, intact sleeve no chunks missing or torn up as you often see with this album as the sleeves are not very robust from this period. No writing or major tears on sleeve - not the best but certainly not the worst. Decent starter copy to upgrade later possibly for collector. Again, please see photos above.

Original inner HMV paper slv VG.

Disc VG- several minor playing marks/scuffs and previous signs of play, nothing feelable, clean labels, play tested today and plays through perfectly with surprisingly little surface noise and a deep rich sound.

All in all a decent example of this legendary rare album and the King’s first outing on 33 1/3.
