ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS PRESLEY (LPM-1254) ALL SILVER PRINT LABELS AND LIGHT PINK “ELVIS” COVER!
RECORD: VG- with much original gloss remaining despite the numerous scuffs and scratches present. This Hollywood pressing plays through on Side 1 and most of Side 2. RCA Victor’s “New Orthophonic High Fidelity” stands resilient! However, there are many “ticks” and some crackle up to Side 2, Track 6 (“Money Honey”) when a single skip is finally detected due to a feelable scratch. The labels are simply beautiful with just some spindle marks seen on both sides. The colors are brilliant and striking with the eye appeal that only Hollywood can deliver! The matrix numbers end with 8S/7S.
COVER: VG+ with no seam splits, tape, staple holes or unwanted stickers! However, there is a name written in ball-point pen on Elvis’ shoulder (Priscilla Barton) on the front. The same handwritten name as well as one other name is seen on the back side (Please see all photos). Aside from this, Priscilla must have been bored one day because she colored in Elvis’ lips on the four black and white photos on the back. Despite these listed negatives, the cover remains very clean with fully solid edges, including the spine, which is fully legible. Some moderate ring wear is noticed. There is an RCA Victor inner sleeve included, depicting other albums available at the time, including “A Date With Elvis”.
