Description

ELVIS PRESLEY- Here we have Elvis' very 1st record album. LPM-1254. Self Titled. The cover has the pale pink letters. later versions had the dark pink and red letters. The song Just Because has the P.D. credit. (see explanation below)*  The cover has some shelf wear and browning on top and right on back cover. No stickers or writing. The record has some light scratches. Original rice paper sleeve which has some wrinkles and tears. 

*Elvis Presley, the album that started it all. This iconic records influence can still be felt today. Elvis was one of the top earners in show business last year. 

The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train. 

The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
