KISSIN’ COUSINS - ORIGINAL SOUTH AFRICAN ELVIS PRESLEY LP – BLACK RCA VICTOR LABEL 31.900
Issued 1964 – Similar to US version (LPM 2894) but with different unique South African catalogue / issue number. Cover is printed by “Swan Press” as were all South African Elvis LP’s of this period, there is a sticker on the back which says “Record made in Southern Rhodesia”, and the disc is stamped “Made in S Rhodesia” in the run out grooves.
One of a number of ORIGINAL 1950s, 60s and 70s SOUTH AFRICAN Elvis albums I am listing in the next few weeks.
The condition of the disc both visually and listening quality is EX+. I have listened to both sides of the album before listing and there is hardly a crackle or a pop to be heard – almost silent between tracks.
Labels are VG - see scans for pictures of the labels. Very clean / clear labels
The condition of the front laminated cover is good. There are no cracks or tears in the laminate. The sleeve has started to curl at the top and bottom edges with age and there are a couple of creases and signs of the record causing a visible circular crease. The back of the cover is clean with a little creasing at the edges. The spine of the LP is VG with no splits or tears etc. There is some wear along the bottom edge.
The record comes in a polythene plastic bag – I’m not sure if this is the original sleeve issued at the time or a more recent replacement.
