ELVIS PRESLEY – KISSIN’ COUSINS (LPM-2894) – RARE “NO CAST PHOTO” COVER!
RECORD: G- with a couple of “feelable” scratches on Side 2 (please see all photos). Although this Indianapolis pressing has not been tested, these scratches will result in audible “ticks”, “pops”, skips or even repeats. Play at your own risk! Side 1 should play well, but expect some light to moderate surface noise. The labels are void of any stickers or writing, but do show a few light spindle marks. This is a second pressing with the “White Top” labels, meaning that the “RCA Victor” logo above the Dog is in silver print, superseding the silver print which was in use from 1954 through 1964. This record was originally released in March of 1964 and includes the hit single, “Kissin’ Cousins”. The matrix numbers on this record end with 4S/4S.
COVER: GOOD with a lengthy upper seam split of 8-3/4 inches. A peculiar lower left split of 4-1/4 inches which extends up the spine approximately 2 inches is also present. Old tape residue (not sticky) can be seen in this area as well as along the upper seam and spine. The tape has long since fallen off. In addition, there is a central spine break of approximately 5-1/2 inches. Wear is seen along the edges and corner tips. Written lightly in blue ball-point pen are two signatures along the top on the front (please see all photos!). On the “up side”, there is barely any ring wear to either side and there are no unwanted stickers or staple holes on this cover. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40C) Inner Sleeve is included. some penned in “check marks” and notations are seen by some of the depicted albums.
