ELVIS PRESLEY – KISSIN’ COUSINS (LPM-2894) SCARCE “NO FILM CAST PHOTO” COVER!

RECORD: VG with numerous scuffs and hairline scratches, none of which can be felt with the fingertip. This Indianapolis pressing was test-played in its entirety and there were no skips or repeats detected, although there was some light surface noise as well as some sporadic “ticks” heard in softer areas of the music or between tracks. This is a Second Pressing and the “White Top” labels are without any writing or labels, but spindle marks are evident on both sides. This Original Soundtrack Recording was originally released in March of 1964 with the “RCA Victor” logo in Silver Print above the Dog and Gramophone. This Second Pressing was produced sometime between October of 1964 through the summer of 1968. The hit single, “Kissin’ Cousins” is included. The matrix numbers end with 4S/4S. 

COVER:  VG+ with no tape, writing or unwanted stickers. However, there is a pair of pinholes from a removed staple at the upper left corner (please see all photos). There is cracking along the lower edge and “daylight” can be seen through this crack, although it does not run completely to the open-end corner. Some additional edge and corner wear is observed. This is the highly coveted “No Film Cast Photo” cover. The vast majority of “Kissin’ Cousins” covers show a black and white photo of the film’s cast to the lower right corner on the front. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40B) inner sleeve is included. Edge splits are present on all three sides of the sleeve.

The wear or crack along the lower edge is essentially a lengthy (approximately 6 inches) central split that does not extend to the open-end lower corner.
