ELVIS PRESLEY LP FIRST UK LP ON HMV CLP1093 ROCK ' N ROLL 1956 VERY RARE
I have been collecting records for the past 40 years or so and have decided that it is time to thin them out to a much more manageable level. The records being sold have been cleaned using a Disco-Antistat cleaner. I have tried to describe the record as accurately as possible. The description is however based upon a visual inspection.
THIS IS A VERY RARE COPY OF THE VERY FIRST ELVIS PRESLEY ALBUM ROCK'N'ROLL ISSUED IN 1956 IN THE UK THERE ARE CONDITION ISSUES WITH IT WHICH YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE YOU READ. (mint copies of this record are listed in rrpg at £500) However copies do not come up very often for sale. I have owned this for about ten years but I am sure that someone would appreciate it more than me as I have never been a huge Elvis fan, I really appreciate and respect his stuff but I was probably just a bit too young to fully appreciate it and was more influenced by early 60's music.

Record description Cover , In a protective sleeve Is worn but intact opening edge is very frayed and the other edges are similarly marked, has been taped at some point, spine not legible. Flipback rear does have marks.
Inner White with age marks, probably not the original RECORD Visually looks reasonable. with traditional HMV label. Matrices 2XAV255 -1N/256-1N There is a slight warp which affects the first track on either side, Blue suede shoes side one plays with only some noise but Mystery train side two does jump a bit. There are background noises throughout but in the main the rest of the record on both sides plays at an acceptable level provided you accept it is a well played and used 60 year old record. Yes there are some poorer bits and the initial pricing reflects the condition and rarity. Please do not purchase or bid if you are expecting perfection. This is a record which is not that good but the rarity value makes up for this. The track listing is a spectacular collection of early Rock and roll
