ELVIS PRESLEY, RCA LPM-1254. (1956). HIS FIRST AND GROUND BREAKING FOR R&R. Matrix #: side 1: G2PP1282-8S. side 2: G2 PP1283-7S.
This is one, of several of his that I have had since buying it from a neighbor in the 1960s. I have not played for a number of years. In fact, played it twice thru to make sure of quality I was hearing.
RECORD: VG+. Very low surface noise, heard only in slower songs. A very few light mars. Spindle has very small amount of wear. Still has fairly good lustre.
COVER: VG. Good color remains. Front does have a name in ink across front top guitar. Small amount of normal use wear. Top edge has neatly placed invisible tape across entire album, (but hard to see how much of a split it had). Bottom center has tape on about 3in. Also has open side split about 4in., (no tape). Spine intact.
Collectors and 'buyers' often say I tend to "under grade" my items. But I would rather have 'happy' buyers.
I am selling off the last of my record collection from the 1950-70s. I'm play-testing on a new Teac record-cd turntable. It is sound sensitive.
