The time has come for me to thin down my vast collection of Elvis Presley albums and singles as I need to minimize my holdings. I have decided to begin with the AFL1 prefix LP’s, first released in 1977, shortly after Elvis’ untimely demise. Realizing that the Black Label, “Dog Near Top” LSP reissues (1976-77) were pressed in mass abundancy and are mere “player” copies, these AFL1’s are an entirely different story because they were pressed in very short runs and many of them are downright RARE!

RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with clean, glossy surfaces. There are just a small number of extremely light scuffs that will have no effect on the audible performance. This “True AFL1” copy is the only one that I have seen in my 47 years of collecting Elvis records!
COVER: VG+ with a strip of invisible tape running completely down the spine, probably to cover some cracking. A miniscule upper right corner edge split is noticed as well as some upper and lower edge wear as well as some moderate ring wear on both sides. “RE-2” is seen to the lower left corner on the front as well as on the back. The original “ELVIS” (54F) inner sleeve is included.

All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
