THIS EP BY "ELVIS PRESLEY' IS CALLED " ELVIS SINGS CHRISTMAS SONGS" AND WAS RELEASED HERE IN AUSTRALIA ON THE BLACK AND SILVER RCA LABEL 20126.

I DO NOT USUALLY PUT RECORDS OF THIS QUALITY ON EBAY BUT I AM AWARE OF ITS RARITY SO I HAVE PRICED ACCORDINGLY IE LOW AT THE START.

THE TRACKS ARE:

SANTA BRING MY BACK TO TOWN, BLUE CHRISTIMAS, SANTA CLAUS IS BACK IN TOWN AND I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.

THE SLEEVE IS IN FAIR TO GOOD CONDITION WITH SIGNS OF AGEING, RW AND HAS SOME INVISIBLE TAPE ON EDGES. (REFER SCAN).

THE LABELS ARE GOOD AND POOR DEPENDING WHICH SIDE YOU LOOK AT. I HAVE SHOWN A SCAN OF BOTH SO YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF.

SURPRISINGLY THE RECORD PLAYS QUITE WELL MOSTLY LOUD AND CLEAR WITH NO JUMPS ETC . STRANGE ISN'T IT?. HAS SURFACE MARKS SO GRADE IT AS GOOD+ ONLY.

For grading purposes I play side one only of an Ep or 45 (mainly the ‘A’ side) and a few tracks on side one of an LP. (refer my feedback for grading).

I also grade records on perceived appearance. I combine them for an overall grading.

I believe this to be the most effective way of grading records. Some records can look ordinary but play well and vikky vika. I clean all my records and covers before posting.

I use the English Record Collectors Magazines Guidelines for gradings as this appears to be the generally accepted term of reference with variances to + or minus. Refer below for grading scales.

Grading Definitions (from Record Collector magazine)

MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just about playable, but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
