If you are a completist who collects unusual variations of Elvis Presley records this is one you won't see very often! This is an ORIGINAL 1974 U.S. RCA VICTOR RECORDS 7" 45 RPM SINGLE containing the rocker titled 'Promised Land' backed with the ballad 'It's Midnight' from Elvis Presley. It is RCA Victor Records U.S. catalog number PB-10074, packaged in a correct 1974 US RCA Victor stock company sleeve.
This 45 is usually seen bearing the light blue / gray colored 1970s-era RCA labels like the one on the B-side of this 45 - The 'Promised Land' A-side of this 45 bears a TAN LABEL which is a RARE VARIATION - Please see my accompanying images. I have only been able to find evidence on the Popsike site of one previous eBay sale of this 45 with this particular label variation, that copy sold for about double my opening bid price.
Condition of play surface is a high VG due to one surface scratch on the 'Promised Land' side which can be felt but does not affect play, and a light discolored area with a little wear that can be felt in the lead-in area on the 'It's Midnight' B-side, which has a little crackly surface noise in the first few revolutions. Record also has a very few other surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Labels have some contact wear, no other flaws. RCA Victor stock company sleeve has a couple of staple holes near in its upper right corner, some small worn areas, some wear and wrinkles along its top edge, and some wrinkles. This 45 would be a choice addition to any completist Elvis Presley record collection! First class mail postage within the U.S. is $3.50.
