UK PRESSING RCA 78rpm RCA-1187
Released in the UK in 1960 this is one of the rarest Elvis 78s to come out in the UK! At that time most people had converted to the, by then, established format of the 7 inch 45 rpm single.
Our research suggests that only a few hundred would have been pressed and most of these were desined to be exported to countries where they still played 78s, notably the British Colonies. If they were sold in England they would have been specially ordered through a record dealer.
Since the record is very fragile and breakable, few remain today.
The cover we include is the original even though it has no RCA logo, there were no dedicated RCA covers in the UK at this time. The condition is really 'excellent'. The labels are extremely clean and have no writing and only light spindle wear. The playing surfaces are shiny with only the lightest of surface marks. This rare record is truly in 'investment' quality.
