ELVIS PRESLEY - Rock 'n' Roll (No. 2) - 1957 Vinyl LP

Description

A great opportunity to buy an ORIGINAL copy of a VINYL LP from the 50's by Elvis Presley called "Rock 'n' Roll (Number 2)".

This is Elvis's second U.K. LP and is on the original H.M.V. plum label with Nipper logo in colour and with gold print. It has "The Gramophone Co Ltd" printed at the start of the perimeter text.

A mint copy of this rarity has a current book value of £750.

This is a U.K. pressing released in 1957 on the H.M.V. label (CLP 1105 mono). It has a total of 12 tracks:-

Side One:- Rip It Up; Love Me; When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again; Long Tall Sally; First In Line; Paralysed.

Side Two:- So Glad You're Mine; Old Shep; Ready Teddy; Any Place Is Paradise; How's The World Treating You; How Do You Think I Feel.

Visually the vinyl is in a clean condition, but has obviously been played many times. I always grade records under a strong light and it is clear there are many surface marks on the vinyl, though nothing too deep as far as any scratches are concerned.  Overall I would grade the vinyl as in FAIR condition.

The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects.

The matrix numbers are:- G2-WP-7207-2N (side 1) and  G2-WP-7208-1N (side 2).

The record is housed within an authentic 1957 H.M.V. poly-lined inner sleeve in VERY GOOD condition, with some fading evident at the opening edge.

The picture cover is a laminated flip-back sleeve, but only in POOR condition I'm afraid. It has not been cared for properly and there are unrepaired tears to the front and back covers and a piece is missing from the bottom corner. The text on the spine is partly visible.

Overall a rare chance to buy this highly collectable 53 year old record and I hope this will still appeal to collectors, even perhaps as a collection-filler.

There is no reserve on this item so please feel free to bid, but winning bidders - please pay promptly. If payment is a problem, then please do not bid. Payment by PayPal is much preferred.
