ELVIS PRESLEY Rock'n'Roll LP 1956 HMV 1st UK PRESS
This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system. I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks
Seriously rare 1956 UK pressing of Rock 'n' Roll by Elvis Presley on the original HMV label catalogue CLP 1093 Vinyl Condition:- Visually the record is VG+ but plays as an EX. Clean shiny vinyl with light scuffs and surface marks. Nice clear sound quality with no trackwear and just a couple of mild clicks on side one. Side two has some mild clicks in a couple of tracks but they only last for about 30 seconds and they are faint and totally in the background. This record has been fully test played before this auction on Rega RP3 deck, Rogers E40a valve amp and Quad ESL 57 Electrostatics. You will not be disappointed in the sound quality.
Sleeve Condition:- G as per record collector grading system. As you can see from the photos there is damage to the sleeve. There is wear to all edges, these have been taped up many years ago. The front opening edge has become torn and ragged and has been repaired with clear tape along with the split spine a long time ago. The back opening edge has a section missing and there is a tear running horizontally across the centre of the sleeve. This again has all been patched up with clear tape.
Label Condition:- VG Some spindle marks and light wear to spindle hole. Light pencil writing on side two.
In conclusion, a mega rare record in VG+ condition, excellent sound quality and a damaged sleeve

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
