This is the best copy I have ever had. Playback is superior. I have never heard one this clean. There is sleeve wear as is common with records from 1955. There is only one fingernail scratch (meaning Not Deep or feelable) that does not affect play. It is on the B - Side. I have included pictures of the trail off but I will go over the fine points now. Located at the 1 o clock position is the Delta triangle with 5498. At 3 o clock you have the 45 - U - 156X and the 20 up from that. On The B - Side the delta triangle and 5499 are located at the 7 o clock position. The 45 - U - 157X & 20 are located in the 9 o clock position. The tape measure is there to show that it is less than Half an inch between the x and the 20.  "The method of distinguishing 1950’s Suns from the 1970’s Suns is to look at the last two digits of the serial number in the trail-off - the 72 on the first four Suns, the 20 on the fifth. On the originals, the last two digits are approximately ½ inch from the other digits" - Bill Stovall.

I've had two of my big Elvis guys drooling over this one. I'm not going to claim its the best one out there but for the money you will not be disappointed. There are no ticks, skips, jumps, pops. Play the video loud I started it from the trail on and let both sides run through the trail off. You can hear a little noise as they trail on which is studio sound. I have graded this one a VG++ or 7 out of 10 on the grading scale. This plays Near Mint but I will let you be the judge. Please see the video. This record was played on my home system. A VPI 19 Turntable w/ Denon 103R cartridge, Audio quest cable to a PS Audio GCPH Pre Amp and PS Audio C 100 Amp. The video is a little dark but this is the actual record you are bidding on!

CONDITION

Vinyl = VG++ 7 / 10 plays near mint. Record still retains its original luster!

Picture Sleeve / Cover =  N/A - generic kraft paper sleeve. I have put a softer white sleeve on this beauty but I will ship it original sleeve as well!

Label = NM / VG++ slight ring wear on the 'I Forgot' side.

GRADING SYSTEM

Mint = Only reserved for Sealed records or store stock new 45s. 10/10 Top Copies

Near Mint =  The record may have been played once or twice on good equipment. Near Mint vinyl should sound and look New when dust is cleaned off and the records played with a properly aligned cartridge and good needle. A Near Mint cover should be one that either looks new or still has the shrink wrap on it. Near Mint is usually reserved for record collectors that don't mind spending premium in order to get the best quality copy of a recording. 9 out of 10

Excellent = 8 out of 10 A record should have maybe one blemish such as fingernail or scuff on the surface that does not affect play. It should be veiwed as Near Mint to most collectors, but for the super picky collector such as myself that check them with a 100 watt light bulb before it ever gets played, it is veiwed as 8/10.

Very Good ++ = 7 Out of 10. A VG++ record may have a few blemishes on each side and will still play with High Fidelity.

Very Good + = VG+ is a grade that I use for most lps that have been played a handful of times with care. It may have one or two scratches (should not be feelable with finger) that DO NOT affect play or some sleeve scuffs from being pulled and played. When put on your record platter a VG+ record should sound great. There should not be overwhelming background noise (when properly cleaned). Pops and Skips from deep scratches are unacceptable.  You should be able to listen to a VG+ record time and time again and not have to worry about damaging it because its not in top collectable shape anyway. 6 out of 10

Very Good =   A vg record has been played numerous times or not stored properly, such as party records that were stacked on top of each other instead of being returned to the inner sleeve. These should play with background noise but will not hurt your needle. Don't be afraid of surface scratches most times these are topical and do not affect the deep grooves where the stylus reads. 5 out of 10 

Remember to achieve proper sound quality you need to have your equipment properly set up.
