ELVIS PRESLEY – THE BEST OF ELVIS
Massively rare original 1957 vinyl pressing of this early 10” LP on the HMV label by Elvis. Complete with amazing cover art, this collectors piece is so hard to find as a first so don’t miss out!!

VINYL: Grades as a strong Very Good, this remains a nice firm piece of quality vinyl that has been used and played but is still in great working order. There are some light non-sounding marks on the vinyl showing evidence of use and handling, but essentially any tiny amount of surface noise is in no way a major issue and this is a record with some age and use that still plays with great audio. The record shows a normal amount of wear around the spindle but basically this is a great original piece of 50s Rock ‘n’ Roll!
SLEEVE: Anyone who has spent time looking for an original copy of this album will be aware just how impossibly hard it is to find a sleeve that is not abused or falling apart! Nobody owning this album in 1957 was thinking about how important Elvis would still be in 60 years time, this record was a party accessory by the hot new name in a passing fad called Rock ‘n’ Roll! So this cover in reality is in very reasonable shape, even though I’d still have to grade it at best a Good fully laminated flip-back sleeve. There is a small torn area missing from the bottom right of the front cover and another split two thirds of the way up from the side opening that comes in about as far as Elvis’s shoulder. There’s also a little wear on the side opening on the rear sleeve but other than this and a bit of general creasing on the edges this is still a great looking collectable album sleeve complete with paper inner sleeve. For this album cover especially, it is in far better condition than you will find 90% of the time so definitely do not miss out on this one!!
