Description
The original first issue of the legendary ''ROCK `N` ROLL'' Album The first Elvis LP simply titled ELVIS PRESLEY released in 1956 The LP plays fine throughout and the raw musical extravaganza of the time began
The vinyl shows light surface scratching both sides and a few scuff marks There are no skips or jumps in the music or vocal performances and the sound is clean & clear Both labels are unmarked and clean and tidy, with the Gold Print being clear to read A good example of this ICONIC LP of 65 years ago
Unfortunately the Album cover, or sleeve, is the worse for wear having done what it was expected to do, to protect the album inside for future years. The front cover is badly torn and damaged, there is a part missing from the bottom right hand side missing out part of his name. The rear cover is perhaps a little better showing a smaller tear with a smaller part missing, all of the text is intact and can easily be read, although I struggle with the 6th line which states that `Presley`s first LP sold 12,000 copies a day!!!!! yet this is his first LP -what a prediction. But who cares -this album was bought to listen to and not to read the narrative.
This collectors piece is for the collector of today who probably owns various other versions of this LP and has heard all of these 12 tracks before in..............
Digitally Remastered sound, 180gr Virgin Vinyl, Direct Metal Mastered pressings of the album with enhanced sound, the Electronically Re-Processed Stereo, the Dynaflex Vinyl, or Cassette Tape, or 8 Track Tape or CD versions of the songs before
But has never had the luxury of hearing the raw excitement of the Elvis vocal from 1950s vinyl
Its the music that counts not the narrative
You don't need to wait so see if you are outbid, its yours for the clicking, avoiding paying hundreds of pounds for the same item
