ELVIS PRESLEY-S/T 1956 RCA VICTOR RECORDS MONO LP LPM 1254 IN A GOOD+(cover)-SOLID VG+ CONDITION. NICE VINYL!! Yes, this is the original album that spawned the legend that became Elvis Presley, the King of rock 'n' roll in this auction. But, to be fair, it's more of a rockabilly album than a rock n roll record. Such tracks as Blue Suede Shoes, I Got A Woman, Tutti Frutti, I'll Never Let You Go & Money Honey all appear on this groundbreaking release. No fan of the man should ever be without it, period.
Ok, here's the good and the bad on this particular record: The record is in a solid VG+ condition with light surface wear on either side that when played you will probably encounter, as I did, some minor crackling in the quieter moments, no skips, plays well throughout.
The cover is the bane of the auction as there are a few issues. There is some aging front and back(see pictures for a better view on that statement), not bad on the front but as you can see on the back, there is more. The worst part of the cover is the 2 splits on the top and the bottom as both extend to the midpoint of the cover from the mouth side. It will hold the album as is but using some tape to sure it up is recommended. The inner sleeve is a replacement and intact. A great buy for the vinyl to be sure!!
