Description

ELVIS PRESLEY- Made in 1956- Elvis' very first record. Original first pressing. Self Titled "ELVIS PRESLEY" LPM-1254 MONO LONG PLAY WITH THE P.D. CREDIT

Elvis Presley, the album that started it all. This iconic records influence can still be felt today. Elvis was one of the top earners in show business
The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.

THIS ALBUM IS NOT A REISSUE.  THE REISSUE LOGO ON THE UPPER RIGHT IS BLACK INSTEAD OF PINK & GREEN, & THE BACK COVER HAS THE LETTERS (RE) FOLLOWING LPM-1254 and the front cover the pink letters are light pink not dark pink. Don't be fooled.

Cover has shelf wear, invisible tape on seams, and apr paid stamped on top back.   The record has several scratches.  NO chips, writing or stickers. Please note: The record and sleeve are in poor condition. It has a high value and very collectible because of the P.D. credit.   Be sure to check my other auctions for more ELVIS PRESLEY items . Thank you for looking.  I SHIP WORLDWIDE .
