Description
Up for auction is the extremely rare debut from Emmylou Harris on the original Jubilee Label (JGS-8031). Origanally released in 1969 and then quickly deleted because Jubilee records filed for bankruptcy. This is the 100% authentic issue with the textured color cover and multi-colored labels, not the common 70s counterfeit which has a blue version of this cover and a white 'promo' label. There is also a reissue from 1979 on Emus records but that version has a very different cover.
The vinyl is beautiful. I got this record in a very large classical collection and it was the only non classical album in the collection. I'm guessing it was a gift to the original owner or was acquired by mistake and maybe played once or twice. By Goldmine standards it grades out at VG+. With a serious machine cleaning it may grade at VG++.
The cover is also in excellet condition. Very mild ring wear is can be detected at the bottom of the sleeve and the sleeve has mild shelf wear. Please see photos below for a closer inspection.
