*** Both the front and back images of this rare 7" vinyl single showing A & B side labels along with the glossy picture print sleeve can be seen above and further down below.
The item available here is a NEAR MINT CONDITION and original RARE ENGLISH LANGUAGE VERSION UK 7" VINYL SINGLE of the 1977 Eurovision song representing Israel from ILANIT and "I'M NO ONE (IF YOU LEAVE ME)" (sung in English - originally "AH'AVA HI SHIR LISH NAYIM"). The English lyrics were written by STEPHANIE DE SYKES who also wrote the UK entry "BAD OLD DAYS" one year later! The other side features another track sung in English by Ilanit "I CAN'T SAY I LOVE YOU". Like most other Eurovision non-winners, very few shops in the UK bothered to stock this release and it never sold very well in the UK and the few copies that made it to the shops sold out very quickly. This rare UK 7" single was issued by PYE records (7N 25739) and only an incredibly small amount of these were issued with a picture sleeve and I think mostly those were the copies sent out as promos to radio stations! I have only ever seen one copy of the UK picture sleeve and obtained it 18 years ago at a sale of the record collection of a famous UK TV station and have never seen another one since! I still have the original picture sleeve in my own private collection and have no plans to sell it, so for this one off UK pressing that I have in my stocks I have produced a unique top quality professional looking glossy picture card sleeve virtually identical looking to the original sleeve! Remember, hardly any copies of the UK release were issued with a picture sleeve so you're not going to find an original one of these very easily without paying a lot more than the starting price here! I have only seen one other copy available and that was priced at nearly GBP £60! This is a wonderful opportunity to add a collectable rare UK pressing 7" Eurovision single with a unique top quality print picture sleeve to your record collection. The vinyl is still in clean and shiny NEAR MINT condition! The exact items I have on auction can be seen on the camera photos both above and below. This is the ONLY copy of the English version "I'M NO ONE" I have among my stocks so don't miss your chance to bid!
Back in the eighties and nineties I was quite well known among many Eurovision collectors around the world as I always stocked a large selection of Eurovision records and CD's and during the nineties even arranged and financed the official release to press some of the more rare entries for wider availability to collectors. I provided a Discography and photos of all Eurovision releases in the UK for RECORD COLLECTOR magazine and provided recordings and worked to get clearance for tracks on an official UK Eurovision CD release issued by VIRGIN. Due to moving house my Eurovision vinyl has been in safe storage for almost a decade. I have recently acquired back the very last copies of my Eurovision vinyl stocks. In many cases I am down to my very last copy of each entry, especially those in mint condition and I now plan to sell everything over the upcoming months, so keep checking back each week for new additions to my listings.
