Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. How Ed Sanders and his merry crew of FUGS ever got signed to Sinatra's record label is one of that era's great mysteries!!! Just thank the crazed nut who had the stones to do it. Cause this is just a brilliant piece of work. Imagine these guys with a real production budget and an armload of whacked-out material and what you get is this overlooked gem.
Drug lore....Egyptology....smut...freak'n'roll.. acid-dazed psych...and a backing studio arrangements budget courtesy of Reprise for good measure. It worked for me when I first heard this 49 years ago and it sill hits the spot.

Half an hour of bonkers psychedelic semi-symphonic freak outs, with Gregorian chants about marijuana and interviews with leprechauns along the way. When first heard this LP, in all honestly could not believe what the ears were hearing - it was basically an idea of a dream album come true!
This is the peak of underground 60s rock. This was The Fugs' version of the MOTHERS OF INVENTION "We're Only In It For The Money." However, what sets this apart from Zappa's opus is its celebratory tone - there are biting moments of satire on here (some of which remain surprisingly hard-hitting today) - but the Fugs' music, particularly on this album, has a life-affirming tone free from "We're Only In It For The Money" cynicism.
Of course there's more to "It Crawled Into My Hand, Honest" than mere madness: the songwriting and composition simply cannot be faulted! There is much that is contradictory about this album; it sounds so well carefully crafted yet also completely spontaneous and free-form. It feels like one cohesive, conceptual whole, but also like nothing more than a collection of fragments hinting at something bigger. It's hard to put ones' finger on some of the surrealism contained but that's why WE love this album so much.
