Description

  • Eric Clapton released his self-titled solo debut album in August 1970 on ATCO Records in the U.S.  Following stints as a member of The Yardbirds, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, and Cream the pump was primed and this album generated 3 hit singles in "After Midnight," "Let It Rain," and "Blues Power." Special guests included Leon Russell, Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, Rita Coolidge, Bobby Keys, Jim Gordon, and other session players.

  • This copy (SD 33-329) is from the first pressing in 1970 and is in very good condition. The cover does have some edge wear as can be seen in the pictures but I rate it VG+. The disc plays cleanly and I also rate if VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
