This RARE UK 1st press is on the plain white and red and black text Island label. It is complete with the earliest ILP 909 A//1 - ILP 909 B//1 matrix and laminated flipback sleeve. This vinyl is absolutely stunning. It shows no sign of ever being played, it looks and sounds absolutely sensational.
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. It has a sensational gloss, there hardly any signs of play at all, just a couple of very light wispy marks. The red and white Island label is sensational. The white is crisp and bright, the red is solid and the text is sharp. There is NO spindle wear at all. When played the sound is exceptionally rich and clear, there are the slightest moments of noise but these do nothing to spoil the enjoyment of this rare 1st press, it sounds superb from start to finish.
The laminated sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. The laminate is extremely glossy, there are a couple of light creases at the spine otherwise it is completely flat. The colour is sensational, the black is bold and the text is sharp. The back of the sleeve has a name at the top and the flipbacks are lightly discoloured otherwise it is bright and unworn. There is an old label from a record shop sale many years ago. The whole sleeve is extremely solid and the earliest pinched spine is firm.
