Description

THE ESQUIRES-45-“Come On, Come On” b/w “These Are The Tender Years”-Glenvalley Records # 105-KillerKool 1966 Irving TEXAS Garage-Punk. Most of you know from assorted Texas comps-NOW FIRST OFF—THERE ARE 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF “Come On Come On”---the pounding-driving one on TEXAS FLASHBACK—and THIS one—this is NOT THE FAST AND DRIVING VERSION--… it’s SLOWER and BLUESY-NOT the FAST one-- great & crude-almost aloof Garage-punk with a-Vox Continental organ-guitar mix; sort of Paul Revere & The Raiders with a Stones “Down The Road Apiece” style guitar riff throughout and 2 lead guitar breaks of the same nature-MAKE NO MISTAKE-THIS IS THE SLOW VERSION----B side is a driving (at times) mid-tempo teen ballad; sort of a sappy title, but actually a great number; MEGA-cool chorus and an INSANE AND EXTENDED FUZZ LEAD GUITAR BREAK. Ultracool band and record. Condition:

Condition: Record is almost, but not quite VG-; some light wear, a few light surface scratches visible in certain light angles, some surface scuffs/paper scuffs. Plays great; has some background noise at times. Label clean both sides
