Mississippi band Eternity's Children made brief but bright contact with their 1968 self-titled debut, a tuneful, tanned collision of sunshine pop, soft-psych shimmer and bossa nova swing. New signees to Tower, the group decamped to LA to work with producers Keith Olsen (Fleetwood Mac, Grateful Dead) and Curt Boettcher, the studio auteur behind grinning pop groups The Millennium and The Association. Eternity's Children's main single from the record, 'Mrs. Bluebird', drifted like a creeping ray onto US charts that summer, its featherlight harmonies and hypnotic rhythm securing their place in the genre's golden canon. Long out of reach, the record finally reappears, newly remastered by Dan Hersch and pressed in a deluxe gatefold edition with notes and unseen photos.
