A COUPLE OF EARLY 1970s FEMALE ROCK LPS ON THE COLLECTABLE SIDE TODAY! This is an ORIGINAL 1970 U.S. LHI / BELL RECORDS LP titled 'Take It And Smile', a somewhat softer outing from Eve, comprised of three of the four girls who previously made up the LHI psychedelic rock quartet Honey Ltd. It is LHI / Bell Records catalog number LHI 3100. Eve are Laura Polkinghorne Creamer, Marsha Jo Temmer, and Joan Sliwin. Album was produced by Tom Thacker for Lee Hazlewood Productions. Musicians: Hal Blaine - drums / James Burton - lead guitar, dobro / Ry Cooder - bottleneck guitar, rhythm guitar (where shown) / Mark Creamer - rhythm guitar / Gary Illingsworth - piano, organ / Larry Muhoberac - piano, organ / Joe Osborn - bass / Sneaky Pete Kleinow - steel / Ron Tutt - drums. Tracks: Lo And Behold, I've Got A Secret, Give A Hand, Dusty Roads, Anyone Who Had A Heart (Ry Cooder : acoustic bottleneck guitar), You Go Your Way (Ry Cooder : acoustic rhythm guitar), Hello L.A. Bye-Bye Birmingham, Could You, My Man Sunshine, Take It And Smile. Condition of record is a real nice high VG+ with a few light surface and sleeve marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is a mid VG+ with a few very small worn spots on the front cover as can be seen in the accompanying image, a little contact and ring wear, and some other general wear along the edges and on the corners.
