Description
EWING NUNN LP:
THE REAL STUFF –
Happy Jazz AP-87 Gold Label –
RARE!
A very fine and rare prize, recorded by Ewing Nunn, one of the finest recordists of this day or any.
It features Jim Cullum’s Happy Jazz Band, here playing FIDGETY FEET, TIA JUANA, PAPA DIP, NEW ORLEANS STOMP, MABEL’S DREAM, and DOWN IN JUNGLE TOWN, among others.
For those unfamiliar with the recordings of Ewing Nunn, please expect only the finest capturing of tonalities. He was not only among the first recordists ever to use a very small diaphragm microphone (one capable of capturing sound much as your ears perceive it), he also formulated his own vinyl compounds.
This is a San Antonio GOLD LABEL, in a cover without fault, heavy platter inside will play near mint.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
