Led Zeppelin
Physical Graffiti
ALL COMPLETE & ORIGINAL
HAND CLAPPING FINE!
Physical Graffiti is the sixth album, a double album by the English hard rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on February 24, 1975 and was the band's first release on its own Swan Song Records label!
The recording sessions for Physical Graffiti took place in January and February 1974 at Headley Grange in East Hampshire, England. Several of the songs on the album, however, were recorded during the sessions for previous Led Zeppelin albums.... The instrumental "Bron-Yr-Aur" was recorded in July 1970 at Island Studios, London, for Led Zeppelin II. "Night Flight" and "Boogie with Stu" were recorded at Headley Grange and "Down by the Seaside" at Island Studios, all for Led Zeppelin IV. "The Rover" and "Black Country Woman" were recorded at the same sessions as "D'yer Mak'er" at Stargroves using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in May 1972. "Houses of the Holy" was also recorded in May 1972, but at Olympic Studios. The group's fifth album Houses of the Holy took its title from this song, despite the decision not to include the song on that album.
The remaining eight songs were all recorded during the sessions for Physical Graffiti in early 1974. Additional overdubs were added and the final mixing was performed in October 1974 by Keith Harwood

The Vinyl:
VG+
Each of the 2 lps are in great condition and provide a DEEP and satisfying bass and drum reproduction, with peaks of guitar riffs.
WONDERFULLY CLEAR AUDIO
Each disc carries some light marks but these didn’t provide anything offensive in regards to background noise. Visually the 2nd disc has more marks, but still produced good solid audio.
I noticed a couple of light background pops on track 2, side 3 but nothing to blow your speakers! Just some gentle and light bit of soft background noise in the quieter sections. |Plays through WITHOUT any jumps or skips and still porovides a quality listening experience.
The Labels:
EX+
USA labels.
Barely a spindle mark on them-however light!
With next to zero central hole wear too.
They have an inner ringto each label-a bit like the DECCA ring but less pronounced and slimmer in width.
GLORIOUSLY COLOURFUL TOO....
NO writing.
The Inners:
EX.
Both present and incredibly well looked after.
Made of a lighter paper than the UK version.
Colours are still vibrant and the corners are still sharp.
All I noticed was a small 2cm patch to one edge of one of the inners, where it has almost broken through.
Each has the correct catalogue number to the bottom right corner:
SS-2-200A
SS-2-200B
NO WRITING
VERY NICE INDEED.
The Insert:
EX+
AND STILL PRESENT!
The insert carries the track listing, red lettering and Atlantic catalogue number SS 2-200
WONDERFUL condition!
The Cover:
EX+
This very delicate cover has survived the passages of time superbly well!
It remains UNCRUSHED, with just a tiny amount of very light rubbing to the corners....Only mentioning this for the perfectionists out there who believe I am in possession of a time machine ;)....really nothing to worry about at all.
It also has the rather rarer RED TEXT to the spine.
BOTH the front and back are lovely and clean.
NO DAMAGE TO THE DELICATE WINDOWS
A SIMPLY MAGICAL COVER
