Description
Here is a RARE Jazz album from my collection offered up for auction: "Paul Chambers Quintet" album was released in 1957. This is a vintage pressing, not sure of pressing year, a U.S.A. Micro-groove pressing Blue Note 1564, in well cared for condition! This is a cool instrumental jazz album featuring GREAT bass lines from Paul Chambers with Donald Byrd (trumpet), Cliff Jordan (tenor sax), Tommy Flanagan (piano) and Elvin Jones (drums). The heavier weight vinyl rates EX, is clean and glossy, has two small light marks to an otherwise pristine looking LP, nothing heavy or that you can feel, there are a few errant pops in "Four Strings", not very loud, otherwise plays great with very good audio clarity throughout! A very enjoyable listen! The Blue Note labels are in EX condition, no signatures. The jacket rates EX, has great color, bright white, no splits, light wear to corners, light edge wear near opening. Cover is STILL IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK, shrink is in-tact on three sides, there is a piece of shrink missing on the back near opening, exposing 1/3 of the back slick, no cut outs, no writing or signatures (see photos).
