Description
I have obtained a collection of 10 extremely rare 1930s 78rpm pictorial records by Trusound of London. Trusound was only in business for a few years in the early 1930s and these 'A' series records (among the earliest picture discs) were only made for a few months from the summer of 1933 to the spring of 1934. They are pressed on celluloid laminated card discs and have wonderfully colourful Art Deco images of the period on either side. They each measure 9 5/8" in diameter. On the rare occaisions when these discs turn up they are often in poor unplayable condition as they are prone to damage and age related deterioration. This group are mainly in well above average condition but are all sold as untested as I don't have a means to play them.
I will be selling these discs individually. Postage can be combined and several can be sent together for little or no extra cost depending on final packed weight.
Offered here is disc number 'A1134' - 'Get Hot Foot' (Quick Foxtrot) & 'Thanks' (Waltz) both played by Dave Frost and his Cafe Anglais Band. The disc in nice condition as per my photos showing some edge delamination, some surface scratches and light minor rippling and age related surface soiling. A rare and highly decorative collectable picture disc offered here with a low price start and no reserve.
