EX+ WESTMINSTER WL 5117 JANIGRO & FOURNIER - BRAHMS:DBL CONCERTO ORIG US-52 RARE

Original Westminster / Red & Silver Label / 1952 US Press / Mono Brahms: Double Concert In A Minor For Violin, Cello & Orch. Op. 102 Hermann Scherchen, conducting Orchestra Of The Vienna State Opera [VSOO] Antonio Janigro, cello Jean Fournier, violin Program Notes – Irving Kolodin
Record Grading: Sides 1 and 2: EX+ record is in very nice shape and still shows gloss. The LP had very low play count (single digit?) by original owner and was extremely well cared for and stored properly. Dead flat. Played nice and quiet during all of the sections that I spot checked. No scratches. Probably closer to NM- but I'll err on the conservative side.
Jacket Grading: EX+ The jacket is in great shape. Deep/rich color with no signs of aging or fading. No tape, writing or tears. I'm a strict grader, especially with jackets, and have marked this down to a EX+ due to a small amount of seam separation on bottom right corner (jacket "mouth"). This is a small blemish (1.5" maybe), but still worth calling out. There is also evidence of some faint dark residue in a couple of spots, most prominently in top right corner and around the Westminster logo in top left corner. This may be from original price sticker. I believe it will clean up nicely but will leave that to buyer as I know everyone has their own preferred methods, tools, solvents etc. for cleaning.
Overall Grading: EX+ Fantastic copy of a relatively rare LP. I come across a lot of 1950s era Westminster records and this one doesn't surface very often. And the credits? Janigro, Fournier, Scherchen, VSOO. Amazing! All grading "dings" are related to the outer jacket and those concerns are 100% cosmetic. Vinyl is extremely clean. Shipping Policy:
All LPs are secured with bubble-wrap and carefully placed in proper mailers with specialized cardboard inserts for reinforcement. LPs will be shipped in their inner sleeve, stored outside of the record jacket to avoid damage in transit. Box sets are mailed with the LPs remaining inside, after placing thin sheets of packing paper or bubble-wrap inside to further reduce movement of contents.
I am happy to combine auction items to reduce your shipping costs. However, if you want multiple items to mailed in one package DO NOT PAY until you are done bidding.
I mail purchased items very quickly, typically same day, but ONLY to the address specified in the original request.

3. Returns may be requested up to 30 days after item is delivered. Refunds will be issued only after the returned item is in hand and confirmed to be in the same condition as pictured in the original listing. SEALED ITEMS MUST BE RETURNED SEALED. "NEVER PLAYED" RECORDS MUST BE RETURNED UN-PLAYED.
4. When purchasing "never played" records, you may see remnants from the original packaging process on the LP. My policy is to let you clean this off with your own equipment. Experienced collectors know that fine cardboard dust or bits of paper from the original sleeve are most reliable evidence that a record has never been played. Refunds will NOT be given to those claiming LPs were graded incorrectly because of these remnants.
