About This Record.  This is an exceptionally rare and legendary LP from my Vinyl Vault that NOBODY HAS! This the s/t LP by “Stud Cole” released in 1973 on Pacific Atlantic Tribune Records Pat 1123.  I believe this was a PROMO Demo only LP of which only a few dozen copies were pressed.  Only a few copies are know to survive, and to change hands over the years.  I found this at a Southern California Record show about 15 years for big bucks, particularly back "then," but it was worth it; sad to sell it now. I think the LP has that magic sound (see below for Acid Archives explanation of my observation) of the Damon Song of a Gypsy LP, or Search Party given its special private pressing and facilities; I compare it to a blend of Captain Beefheart or Lou Reed Singing while Haymarket Square plays in the background, or Eno jams with Damon or Haymarket Square and sings Burn Baby Burn instead of "Baby's on Fire"  

Hans Pokora gives this his highest six (6) star "Crown Jewel" rating, and Acid Archives, which gives this its highest Rarity Rating of (4), notes some people (but not Acid Archives) think this LP sounds like Elvis backed by 1966 Yardbirds, but Acid Archives suggests 1968 exploito-psych might be a better description . . . or perhaps Hasil Adkins meets 31 Flavors is more appropriate . . . Lots of Hendrix type fuzz support as Acid Archives also notes.  This LP also has a special weird sound to it because of its production.  “On a few occasions the vocals or a guitar solo come in ½ beat too early or too late, creating a weird Shaggs-like effect seldom found on record.”  Here's your chance!  I do not think this LP was ever offered for sale in a store . . .releasing it would have freaked the music listening public for sure!  "Burn Baby, Burn" . . . perhaps Brian Eno's inspiration for "Baby's on Fire"?

I offer full refund including shipping both ways (for USA and foreign buyers in case for some wildly strange reason you might be unhappy with this purchase).  Comes hand-cleaned on my VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning machine (hate those automated 17's) and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren.  And at least one plastic sleeve for moisture protection (for you and me).

Cover Condition: Excellent (EX) cover.  Just a small top right seam split of about one inch beginning to happen at top right corner.  And, just a touch of light ring wear on top of front cover.   And Minor corner ding bottom right corner on opening edge.  Strong spine.  The last two photos show the opening edge corners and top/bottom seams, where the only cover issues are (besides the ring wear noted).  Total Keeper LP Cover.  I hate to think what any one you might find would look like! Please See all the Photos I took.  I didn't take them for fun and frolic.

Vinyl Condition: Excellent (EX) condition just a couple of light meaningless stylus marks; light but noticeable finger prints/brush marks.  NICE Glossy Vinyl.  Plays Near Mint for the most part, but . . . as I said, there are some fingerprints and visuals, so Strong EX grading.  Just a couple of random pops true to the private pressing.  One or two light meaningless stylus marks on each side.  On one side, it is across the whole side (VERY LIGHT), on the other side, across the middle 3 songs (Very light, not audible either).  This is a Top Keeper Copy.   You'll never see another, and this will be nicer.

Labels. Near Mint (NM) labels.  See Photo.  Please see photos of all labels.

Inserts: with the original plain white (now brown) paper inner sleeve, but no worries, the vinyl also comes in a new rice paper sleeve and hand-cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine and in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve so the old Dust does not reattach!  Oh My Gosh!

Packaging.  I clean all vinyl on my V.P.I. Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original.  I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool record’s transition to your record collection.  I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating “Do Not Bend” and/or “Fragile” or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage.
