Fantastic EXPANDED Best Of album from one of the most menacing and dangerous punk band's of all time.
The Exploited just didn't care, in true punk style they crashed from late 70's punk rock into the national consciousness, when they made a storming appearance on 'top of the pops' performing Dead Cities.
They had the Edinburgh attitude in spades, led by Wattie Buchan an ex squaddie who had been booted out of the Army for wearing punk clothes, backed up by Big John Duncan a giant of a man on guitar they just didn't compromise for anyone.!
With their blunt and in your face punk, they got called many things in the press but didn't care and just kept on going, many of the punk bands that followed owed them a great debt.
This fantastic collection is almost perfect, there isn't a bad track on here, how many other bands can say that about their best of, from early classics like Army Life, F**k A Mod and the seminal Punks Not Dead to quality album tracks like Blown To Bits, Psycho and Jimmy Boyle, it would have been a perfect collection for me if they had included Sid Vicious Was Innocent but you can't have everything.
This EXPANDED edition features Seven extra tracks over the 2 records, adding the missing classics Class War, Crashed Out and Hitler's in the charts again.
This American import doesn't come up for sale often so don't miss out, cover is excellent just one interior crease on inner gatefold which is the only minor thing to mention, the vinyl looks fine just the odd light mark that shouldn't affect play, this is a great Taang import to own......."Exploited Barmy Army Don't You F**king Mess".!!!
An absolute must have Exploited double album for any serious Punk rock record collector.
