Victor Monarch Record (10") 47 Band, descriptive / The Village Orchestra Will Do The Best They Can
An orchestral and spoken comic sketch on a very early Eldridge Johnson Victor record, 1901-1902. The Metropolitan Orchestra cancels, so the village orchestra fills in - a classic early recording to share with future generations
Disc looks to be in Excellent condition and plays great. Small needle drop sounds lightly for 5 turns during, amazingly, "Pop Goes the Weasel" (see/hear VIDEO, disc played at 72rpm). May we all sound this good after 120-plus years. If I've missed something, I'll make it right.
