Description
Echo And The Bunnymen - Songs To Learn And Sing (Korova KODE13) 1985 - Fully Signed.
The Band: Native of Liverpool, rosk'n'roll city in my book and a favourite of mine since the early days in 1978 before Pete De Freitas joined as drummer, gigs at the Leeds Sci-Fi Festival at Queen's Hall and at the Factory in Hulme, Manchester particularly stand out in my memory. Will Seargeant and Ian McCullough have continued to play throughout the intervening years, writing some wonderful songs right up to their recent album "The Fountain". This album "Songs to Learn And Sing" is a compilation of their most successful singles from the late seventies to the mid-eighties, sadly it would be a more final and fitting tribute to drummer Pete De Freitas who was killed in a motorcycle crash soon after.
The Vinyl: This is a very rare vinyl. It is one of a handful that was a pre-release fully signed first issue, German pressed (RS Alsdorf is engraved in the run-off grooves) which was put out into the shops together with the first standard release albums. The signatures are exquisite. The album also comes with its lyric sheet insert.
Track List: Side 1: 1: Rescue, 2: The Puppet, 3: Do It Clean, 4: A Promise, 5: Back Of Love, 6: The Cutter, Side 2: 7: Never Stop, 8: The Killing Moon, 9: Silver, 10: Seven Seas, 11: Bring On The Dancing Horses.
Condition: Record: Mint. Not a mark, even light surface marks. It looks unplayed. Sleeve: Excellent. Probably on the plus side of excellent. It is very near pristine, being very fussy (and why shouldn't we be) there is a very little, very light scuffing the corners especially the bottom left corner which has a very minor dint. There one or two very short hairlines on the bottom edge.
Postage & Packing: Due to the new (in my opinion ill thought-out) ebay policy of enforcing FREE postage on CDs and vinyl, the postage, packing and ebay fee are included in the starting price of the item. The starting price includes the actual costs of postage, packing (mailing bag) and ebay fee and are as follows: U.K. (First Class): £1.50, Europe (Airmail): £2.00, R.O.W. (Airmail): £3.00. Therefore postage to Europe add 50p to the overall winning bid and for Rest Of The World add £1.50 to the winning bid.
Multiple Purchases: Sending more than one item in a single package attracts considerable postal discount, these are calculated on the invoice - I charge the cost of the weight of the package plus packing cost and ebay listing fee.
Starting Price:
UK (First Class): Record: £19.99p + Postage & Packing: £2.50. Total: £22.49.
Europe (Airmail): Record: £19.99p + Postage & Packing: £3.50. Total: £23.49.
Rest Of The World (Airmail): Record: £19.99p + Postage & Packing: £5.00. Total: £24.99.
Please Note: The price of postage given above is for first class only. Insurance is not included. Registered or signed for service is always available and is charged at an extra rate. Please enquire via messages if required. Although a rare occurrence, I am not able to take responsibility for any items lost in the post, I always keep a proof of posting which is available to view via e-mail if required.
Postage & Packing Costs: I try to keep my postage and packing costs to a minimum and do not knowingly profiteer from postal costs. They are made up of the cost of the postage plus the cost of the packaging plus ebay fee.
Despatch Time: I pack and post items as quickly as I possibly can. I usually visit the post office twice weekly. The maximum delivery time will be ten days (UK) but will usually be quicker within three or four days.
Guarantee: I take great care in grading my items accurately. Should you disagree with my conclusions a full refund (or partial refund, if that is the agreement) is guaranteed on return of the item.
