Description
Elektra 124, “Sin Songs: Pro and Con” with Ed McCurdy, vocals and guitar; from 1957. Original atom-label vinyl plays at NM and looks unplayed with no marks; it is in the original rice paper sleeve which is torn on one side. Heavy laminated jacket is almost NM with strong seams all around and a bit of corner wear at lower right; jacket back is very clean with no writing or stamps. The LP is set up with “Pro” songs on one side and “Con” on the other. These are “The Jolly Boatman”, “How Happy Is She”, “Roving Gambler”, “I Once Had Virtue”, “The Gambler’s Song”, “The Good Boy’s Song”, “Good Old Mountain Dew”, “Ballad of a Young Man”, “Rye Whiskey”, Tobacco Is an Indian Weed”, “Three Pretty Fair Maids”, “Young People Who Delight in Sin”, “Poor Polly the Mad Girl”, “Gambling on the Sabbath Day”, “She Plays the Game”, “John Adkins’ Farewell”, Frozen Charlotte”, and “An Address to All Concerning Death”. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
