Description
Eddie Gale "Ghetto Music" 1968
RARE Blue Note Records (BST 84294), Liberty Label, Stereo, VG+
Trumpeter Eddie Gale transports his listeners into the American ghetto, suffusing his free jazz inclinations--he was one of the movement's early pioneers in Sun Ra's Arkestar--with traditional blues and gospel accents. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder. The vinyl is in VG+ condition, showing just a few minor scuffs. The Blue Note center label indicates "a product of Liberty Records"; this is the original stereo pressing of this album. Original gatefold cover shows some minor wear; the inner sleeve has detached partly from the cover.TRACK LISTING:
Side One: 1. "The Rain" (Joann Gale-Eddie Gale) (6:23) 2. "Fulton Street" (Eddie Gale) (6:47) 3. "A Understanding" (Eddie Gale) (7:50)
Side Two: 1. "A Walk With Thee" (Eddie Gale) (6:06) 2. "The Coming Of Gwilu" (Eddie Gale) (13:37)
