On the auction block here we have one of the true ORIGINALS from the FIRST ONE THOUSAND pressings of the great blue-eyed soul singer/songwriter EDDIE HINTON's 2nd Solo album, LETTERS FROM MISSISSIPPI! That's right the original that contains the songwriter's original version of the Drive By Trucker's hit "Everybody Needs Love"
With half the tracks recorded at MUSCLE SHOALS SOUND STUDIOS with fellow SWAMPERS Roger Hawkins on drums, David Hood on bass, Jimmy Johnson on guitar 2, & producing and Shoals legends, Clayton Ivey on Keys and Ronnie Eades on horns and the other half the tracks recorded 40 miles west in Decatur, Alabama at Birdland Recording Studio in Decatur, Alabama with drummer and engineer Jeff Simpson and local bassist and studio co owner Owen Brown under Hinton and John D. Wyker's combined production capabilities we see Hinton reclaim and reassert his brillance as a singer, songwriter and soulman. We remember the reason he was one of the most sought after writers and producers in the country by age 22 during Soul music's biggest heyday on the late 60's and early 70's and the album that brought him back into the game.

Farlow of Commander Cody (Hot Rod Lincoln), and many local acts of the day and chock full of ads from local business that sponsored the event that Wyker personally sold to merchants-Mighty Field of Vision-1986
