Alice Verlet, Merle Alcock, Arthur Middleton, Guido Ciccolini, Rigoletto Quartet, Bella figlia dell'amore, Edison Grand Opera Cylinder record #29006, take 2, mold 8. Clean well-rounded cylinder with no cracks or chips, no plaster missing. Comes in Royal Purple sleeve, no bottom, generic top. From December 1917 Edison Supplement, quoted from Edison Blue Amberol Recordings 1915-1929 by Ronald Dethlefson:
"This is the famous quartet from "Rigoletto", one of the two or three best-known operatic pieces ever written. The scene shows both sides of a wall in front of a country tavern. The quartet is a wonderful masterpiece in its interweaving of emotions, the tender love making of the pair in the garden, the heartbroken sobs of Gilda and the awful cries of vengeance of her father are combined with the hand of genius that makes this one of the most wonderful operatic pieces ever written. The four artists who sing the quartet for us here are all prominent in the operatic and concert world, and the Re-Creation is in every way an artistic masterpiece."
