Description

Two autograph signatures of Edith PIAF in blue fountain pen. First signature on a sticker "Souvenir / Bruno Coquatrix / Nouvel / Olympia / panoramique / votre Music Hall" stuck on the cover of the Maxi Single. Second signature written directly on the cover: "Pour Josette" (for Josette).
Released in October 1955 at Columbia / Pathé-Marconi (ESRF 1036).
This Maxi Single (super 45 tours / super 45 rpm in French), which we did not have the opportunity to listen to, includes four titles by Edith PIAF: Face A1 : C’est à Hambourg (Delecluse - Michèle Senlis / M. Monnot) Face A2 : Les chemin des forains (J. Dréjac / H. Sauguet) Face B1 : L’homme au piano (J.C. Darnal / Henning - Terningsohn) Face B2 : Retour (Jean-Marie / Jie Heyne - G. Masset)
More than a beautiful signature of Edith PIAF in fountain pen affixed to the famous Olympia sticker, this disc is also a personal gift from the singer and a rare, exceptional object. Most of these sought-after maxi singles include only one signature on the sticker: Piaf dedicated a few of them to people she knew, including this one.

Sold without LOA/COA. However, if you live in North America, you can easily ask for a certifying company (SpenceLOA, PSAcard and so on) to emit one. If the certifying company has doubts about the genuineness of the Olympia label signature I will accept getting the maxi single back at no cost to the buyer.

BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Edith Piaf, born Edith Giovanna Gassion on December 19, 1915 in Paris and died on October 10, 1963 in Grasse was a French music hall and variety singer, considered the archetype of the French singer, and undoubtedly the best known in the world.
Her song "Je ne regrette rien" permeates Christopher Nolan's Inception, where it is played to tell the protagonists they need to get out of their dream.
