Up for sale is a rare copy of Edna St. Vincent Millay "Reading From Her Poetry" the 1961 release. (Caedmon TC1123).
Cover is VG++, in good shape. The vinyl is VG++, very glossy.
From the liner notes: "The poems were recorded by Edna St. Vincent Millay in 1941, when she was 49. The poems she chose to read spanned her creative life up until that moment, reflecting each of the many impulses under which she had written: love, compassion, spirituality, sophistication, tenderness and love of the world of nature."
Edna St. Vincent Millay (1892 – 1950) was a poet, playwright and feminist. She received the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, and was known for her activism. The poet Richard Wilbur asserted, "She wrote some of the best sonnets of the century."
