An interesting collection of seven (7) LP's that chronicle the careers of two of the greatest broadcast journalists of the 20th Century: Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite from 1939 thru the 1960's.Including some of the actual voices and sounds of the people who made history (she photos for complete playlists) :
1) EDWARD R. MURROW: A Reporter Remembers- Volume One- The War Years (1967) (Columbia-66014) - UK Issue - Bi-fold cover -2LPs Except for the introduction and ending, these records are compiled from overseas broadcasts made by Edward R. Murrow before and during World War II as they were received by short wave in New York.Since these recordings constitute a document of first hand- experience, rather than an art work in the primary sense, the decision was made to eliminate material because of poor sound, but to sacrifice sound quality to the importance and cogency of Mr. Murrow's comment. CONDITION: Vinyl = Near Mint. Cover = Very Good +.
2) EDWARD R. MURROW: A Reporter Remembers- Volume Two - 1948-1961 (196?) (Columbia - O2L-400) - 2 LP Boxed Set After World War II, Murrow became a CBS News Correspondent in 1947. Murrow won every major radip & TV award. He was heard Monday through friday evenings on the CBS Radio network and narrated many memorable special radio broadcasts. He was seen on CBS Television Network's "See It Now," "Small World", "Person To Person" and "CBS Reports" broadcasts. CONDITION: Vinyl= Near Mint. Cover = Very Good. Shows some wear.
3) CRONKITE: THE WAY IT WAS, THE SIXTIES. (1983) – 3 LP Boxed set includes 8-page illustrated booklet (CBS-F3M-38858) - Written & edited by Fred W. Friendly and Walter Cronkite. Narrated by Walter Cronkite. A Scapebook of the 1960's for the ear. Including sounds from Watts to Woodstock, Cuba to Chicago, Vietnam to the Moon, John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., Richard M. Nixon, Lyndon B. Johnson, Robert F. Kennedy, Gamal Abdul Nassar, Neil Armstrong, George Wallace, Adlai Stevenson & Others. CONDITION: Vinyl , Box, Cover & Booklet = Excellent.

LP's come boxed carefully in corrugated boxes made specifically for LP's, with filler pads and bubble wrap on both sides to protect the cover. LP's are housed in clear plastic LP sleeves. The LP is removed from the cover for shipping to prevent seam splitting unless when purchasing a sealed LP or when specified otherwise. Tracking numbers will be provided on all purchases.
