Edward Vesala - I'm Here (Blue Master, SPEL 311, 1973 Finland).
Edward is well known drummer from Finnish bands such as Apollo, Soulset & Karelia. This is quite a rare percussion record on which Edward plays Drums, Percussion, Gong, Cymbal, Cylophone, Marimba, Chimes, Sitar, Clockwork etc. The music is mostly percussive but Edwards lyrical and powerful drumming makes this a musical statement, instead of a boring and lenghthy drum solo! The marimba/cylophone pieces are beautiful static haunting hypnotic cuts in Terry Riley/Steve Reich vein.
This was released on the obscure Blue Master Special label that also released the very sought after Hot Lotta (Brötzmann, Kowald, Veasala, Altonen) & Apollo. This might be your only chance to get this gem as it's very rare even here in Finland. What makes it even rarer is the condition!!! What a beauty. Low starting bid and NO reserve...
Condition: Near Mint/Excellent (LP/Cover). Record shines like a new one!!! Cover is in nice condition too with only light storage wear. Any questions please ask. Happy bidding...
