This Auction listing is for a fabulous 12 inch vinyl LP by Edwin Starr
The Album is called Soul Master
Catalogue Number TML 11094 (MONO sound) This Album is from 1968 and you can see the full track listing in my photos.
The songs include some Northern Soul Motown classics:

This vinyl record is in beautiful condition and it has no scuffs or hairlines.
The vinyl is really excellent....except for one small thing. Please do read all these details thoroughly before bidding.
Every track on the Album plays through well with no problems at all, apart from Track One on Side 1.
Right at the beginning, there is a very small one groove jump. I could not believe it, as the vinyl is so clean.
I took a powerful eyeglass to the grooves, and scrutinised them all, I cleaned the record repeatedly around the      run on, and early grooves
Returning the record to the turntable, it still has that one small jump.
I have listened to all the other tracks on this album and they are all fine, with no problems at all.
I came to the conclusion that it might possibly be a manufacturing fault.
If the vinyl had been scuffed or marked, I would have blamed that, but the vinyl is exceptionally clean and scuff - free. I really cannot see anything which would cause this one small jump
The grade of the vinyl should certainly be excellent or maybe even better.
However I have to take this small jump into consideration, so I will have to grade the vinyl as a Near Excellent Minus.
It is of course possible that a different turntable might not have the same issue.
It is always very difficult to grade accurately, as turntables vary so much.
It would be a shame to grade the Album too lowly, as the rest of the tracks are fine.

The inner sleeve, depicting other Albums on sale from that time is also in near excellent or better condition
The outer sleeve is in very good plus condition  It does have some creases around the top and bottom left hand corners.
You can also see the vinyl record outline in the cardboard which is normal for records of this age. It is not prominent.
There are a couple of corner creases on the back cover.
However we must bear in mind that this LP Album is over 49 years old.
This is a lovely example of a harder to find Album nowadays.
Grading
I am guided by the Rare Record Guide matrix for condition of records but I also listen to all vinyl records before listing them for sale.
Please do note that variation can occur between different turntables.
Any noticeable defects , I will always describe fully in my listings.
