Description
Electric Kool Aid Acid Test LP Jerry Garcia Pre Grateful Dead Ken Kesey
Record is in mint condition. Cover is in VG+ condition. This is a strange Pre-Grateful Dead collection of tapes from one of the October of 1966 Acid Tests, a week before LSD was made illegal. Ken Kesey, Jerry Garcia, Wavy Gravy and others. Very electronic. Extensive but hard to read, back cover liner notes describe the times the event with much text taken from Tom Wolfe's most excellent book that bears the same name as the album. Wolfe is some wild stuff. Read the liner notes (hard to read here, have to win the album), then buy one of the many available copies of the book and play this album as you read the book (unless you are not in a state to read, in which case the contents of this record might be pretty scary. The album also contains a 1980 interview with Ken Kesey on the Tomorrow show with Tom Snyder.
